Pasir Ris Crest Secondary started in the Millennium Year with 16 staff and 320 students. Mrs Teo Khin Hiang was the pioneer Principal who began the relentless effort to make the school one of the top choice schools for Primary Six pupils in Pasir Ris.
The construction of the school building commenced in June 1998 and the official Handover Ceremony took place in 16 December 1999.
On 12 July 2002, Pasir Ris Crest Secondary was officially opened by the then Education Minister, Rear Admiral Teo Chee Hean. It was an impressive event and an important milestone in the history of the school.
The school pursues its drive towards being a choice school in Pasir Ris by continuing to place value on academic achievements while emphasizing on character development and discipline. The achievements of Pasir Ris Crest bear testimony to the school’s relentless efforts in promoting the holistic development of her students. In 2005, the school received its first Academic Value-Added Award (Gold) for the Normal Academic stream and in 2007, the Academic Value-Added (Gold) for the Express Stream. In 2009, it received the Sustained Achievement Award (Academic).The Sustained Achievement Awards for Uniformed Groups (2008) and Aesthetics (2008) further reflect the school’s commitment to providing a all-round education for its students.
